Welcome to Rohtak Range Police

Rohtak Range was created by the Government of Haryana in November,1989 to provide dynamism to the police department related functions. At that time four districts Rohtak, Sonipat, Panipat and Karnal were included in this range. In year 1997, Jhajjar was carved out of Rohtak district and became a new district and added in Rohtak Range. On 29th August,2011 Govt. of Haryana had established Police Range, Karnal comprising of Police districts Karnal, Yamuna Nagar, Kaithal and Kurukshetra that mean excluding police district Karnal from Rohtak Range, Rohtak. In the year 2017, the district Bhiwani and Dadri were included in Rohtak range and Panipat was excluded and attached with Karnal Range. On 1st Jan 2023, Haryana Govt. declared district Sonipat as a commissionerate. Hence district Sonipat excluded from Rohtak Range. On 8th March 2024, Haryana Govt. declared district Jhajjar as a commissionerate. Hence district Jhajjar excluded from Rohtak Range. Now Rohtak Range have three districts – Rohtak, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri. Every district headed by Superintendent of Police.
